Close-2-Art Creations by Robert Wolverton Jr. Artist Information: Schools attended: MTSU, University of Memphis, Columbia State University I grew up along the Gulf Coast of Texas as a child and was strongly influenced by the colors and subject matter of that area. Art has always been a big part of my life and has always been very close to me (close2art). I spend my days working on new pieces and constantly searching for a better painting. I continue to grow and expand my technique trying new things and experimenting and constantly learning. I am very much into the outdoors and get most of my inspiration from nature.
Stylized lines along with bright vivid color combinations is my main focus in each piece of artwork. My painting technique is one that I have developed over years of experimenting with all types of paints. I take pride in all my art and I am very critical of my work, like most artists are. Art has the power to evoke strong feelings, both positive and negative. The fact that you feel these emotions is what makes it art in the first place. My intention is to create fun images that are a pleasure to view. Thank you for your interest in my artwork - RWjr
